Terminating a clinical project is just as exhilarating as starting a new project hoping that a MedSIR strategic idea may help many patients. Finishing a job well done means that potentially practice-changing results are just around the corner; results that may help doctors to better understand the complexities behind a disease and, thus, better understand how to optimize their therapeutic decisions for their patients.
Study closure also allows us to reflect on how many patients, research centers, nursing teams, and many others came together to fight this terrible disease. It’s a great example of what can happen when people come together and a great source of pride for MedSIR, who plays the role of tying it all together from the development of an initial bright idea all the way through to the publication of study results.
